The cornerstone of William’s photography is the desire to depict wild animals in their natural environment.

With an instantly recognisable style, William’s internationally acclaimed work has sold around the world and been utilised to raise vital funding for a variety of charitable organisations as well as being included in the globally renowned fundraiser, Prints for Wildlife. To date, his work has raised over £140,000 for a combination of charities.

Photographic Safaris

In tandem with his exciting photographic career and following three years working for an East African safari operator, William co-founded Armstrong Fortescue, a photographic safari company offering high-end trips around the world.

Specialising in guided photographic safaris with expeditions to search for polar bears, snow leopards, mountain gorilla and many other iconic species, their trips cater to all level of photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.

Awards

William’s work has received numerous international awards in recent years including winner at the World Nature Photography Awards. His entire Nomads collection was awarded the highest Platinum standard at the Muse Photography Awards in 2022 and two of his best selling images, Michael and Rumble in the Jungle share eight international awards between them.

This year, four of his works are through to the final judging round of the two most prestigious global photography competitions; Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the Siena International Awards.
